Here are the important details you won’t want to forget.

In those last hours before the Big Day when excitement is high, it’s easy to forget important details. To make sure all the pieces perfectly align—and to give you peace of mind so you can relax—our experts offer a day-of checklist for those final moments before you say, “I do.”
- Pack a bag with things you might need during the wedding. Life savers include deodorant, lipstick, breathmints and a pair of comfortable back-up shoes. —Jennifer Supper, Kaleidoscope Solutions
- Be sure you’ve communicated the agenda to your family and wedding party well in advance. Many times, couples will plan to take photos following the ceremony but those who are supposed to be in them won’t know about it and they leave. It can get crazy wrangling people. —Tara Thistlethwaite, Engaged Event Management
- Remove your gown—and veil, if you have one—from garment bags and hang them to let out any wrinkles. A handheld steamer is also good to have on hand. If the material is delicate, secure a washcloth over the steamer with a hair tie, and steam the dress from the inside out. —Susan Norcross, The Styled Bride
- Gather any items you plan to have photographed—a copy of your Save the Date, invitation, ceremony program, wedding bands and similar momentos—and have them ready so you won’t need to search for them when the photographer arrives. It’s also nice to request a few loose blooms and greenery from your florist, to stage with these items. —Erin Proud, Proud to Plan
- Have everything done ahead of time, and reserve the last couple of days before the wedding for a luxurious spa treatment and meditation. Relax as much as possible so you can be present in the moment. —Dana Ferreri, Happy Hour Events
- Remember that you’re doing this for the marriage, not the ceremony. The most important thing to do is breathe and soak in all the love that surrounds you. That’s what makes the day special. —Karen Hopkins Pugh, Life of the Party
