“To create the look and feel a couple is trying to achieve for their wedding, you have to know the basic mechanics behind things in order to get them to do that,” says Meghan Mannon, an artisanal floral designer and the founder of The Well Behaved Tulip, a new full-service floral design studio in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
Her business is a project built out of passion and experience that is sure to satisfy your botanic needs, she says. After 15 years, she closed the doors to her first business, which grew into one of the largest floral design firms in the Southeast, to relocate to a closely knit community.
Mannon, who attended the Floral Design Institute, specializes in the science and aesthetics that flower production requires. She sources only from top growers, adheres to top industry standards to process them, and continues to educate herself in different styles and philosophies.
For wedding couples, she employs a consultative approach to ensure an intimate connection and to deliver top-tier flowers in signature mix arrangements, hanging installations, and designs for any ceremony.
“I love utilizing natural elements that allow me to create elaborate, whimsical lines to the arrangements,” she says. “It’s definitely a garden style, but with interesting lines while being more tailored. And that’s my signature.”
Preferring to design in her studio in advance—Mannon wants to be sure it will work and avoid surprises the day of—she offers carefully curated collections and a variety of color palettes and styles.
